Sunset Park Avenues PTA
The Sunset Park Avenues Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is the official organization of the parent body at PS 516.

We support the school in a number of ways:
  • Fundraising for school programs
  • Monthly meetings
  • School and Community events
  • Advocate for students and parents with school administration
  • Work with local officials and community leaders
  • Maintain WhatsApp groups for each grade

There are many ways you can support the PTA, we can accommodate all schedules and time commitments. Email us if you are interested, every little bit helps!

The PTA Board does the following: 
  • Supports Staff with funding
  • Brings your questions, concerns or comments to the SLT / Administration.
  • Relays announcements about events, fundraising, community building, mutual aid and educational enrichment opportunities. 
  • Assists in organizing committees for events, fundraising and ongoing projects. 
  • Builds connections with other schools and organizations. 
  • Communicates important school news. 

La Junta de la PTA hace lo siguiente:
  • Apoya al personal con financiación: envíe una solicitud de financiación
  • Traiga sus preguntas, inquietudes o comentarios al SLT / Administración.
  • Transmite anuncios sobre eventos, recaudación de fondos, desarrollo comunitario, ayuda mutua y oportunidades de enriquecimiento educativo.
