Water Experimentby Alexander and Sunny In first grade, we are learning about water. We tried some water experiments. We are going to see what happens when you put an ice cube in boiling water. We predict the ice cube will melt. | Recycling Center Tripby Lucas and Renee On Tuesday, 1-310 went to the Recycling Center. We saw lots of recycled garbage! We learned about sorting garbage: in the blue one you use plastic, metal, cartons, and glass to recycle. In the green one, you use paper to recycle. In the black one, is for garbage to go into a landfill. When you recycle you can use it over again! Go check out this recycling center! Photo Credit: simsmunicipal.com |
Photo Credit: nyhistory.org | New York Historical Society by John On Friday, second grade went to the Historical Museum. It was 2-418. We learned about a long time ago things that they use like a boot jack if you're shoes have rain, you take them out with the boot jack. We also learned that a long time ago they didn't have light and they used some candles. They used different ways to light up a room. We also learned about a roundabout chair for going to the bathroom. I am happy that I didn't live a long time ago. |

This means we practice our writing by writing more about the same characters. We are using The Monsters series and Zapato Power and Frog and Toad to help us learn more and become better writers!
