Water Experiments

In theme, we are doing the water experiments at PS 516.  We do water colors to see how water would change color.  We also do if a thing will sink or float.  We learned wood and plastic floats.  Paper sinks when it gets wet.  We also made boats out of aluminum foil.  We put aluminum foil in water and we tested out with coins to see which boats would hold the most coins.  We are excited to do the water experiments!

Pledge of Allegiance

Every Monday at PS 516, we do the Pledge of Allegiance.  We do it for America.  We have to say the Pledge of Allegiance for we respect America our country.

Life Cycle of a Plant

We planted our plants on April 1st and April 4th, 2016.  We planted our plants in our class.  Everybody in 2-418 plant together.  We plant plants.  We don't know what the plant is going to grow.  We want to see how the plants grow.

Second Grade Reading

Every day, Monday to Friday, in 2-418 and 2-417, we do many kinds of reading.  We do many different strategies, like reading with a partner and unlocking words.  We work to be a different level and it makes us smart.

1st Grade Read Aloud

Every morning in the classroom, teachers and kids read read alouds.  Some read alouds are Zapato Power and Peanut Butter and Cupcake.  We do read aloud so we will learn lots of things in books.  We will be smart.

Book Reviews

For Laughing Out Loud is a great book because it will make you laugh out loud.  For example, it's really funny.  It's a book of poems to tickle your funny bones.  You should read this great book!
