Week of February 1, 2016:

Waseem: My favorite book is The Book with No Pictures because I like the part when it says, “Can I stop now? No…” And this (shows us a page and everyone laughs). I’m ready for questions.

Gabo: When do you read this book?
Waseem: After snack.

Jacob: How much do you like this book?
Waseem: Six times.

Lawzia: Why is it funny?
Waseem: Because it has silly noises and sounds.

Dahlia: I like this book (The Dot) because she made a dot and the teacher put it up.

Rachel: How many times did you read this book>
Dahlia: One.

Giovanni: Who is your favorite character?
Dahlia: Vashti.

Gavin: When do you read this book?
Dahlia: Snack.

Athena: Frog and Toad Together is the best book because it is funny. For example, Toad cannot see Frog because he keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Another reason is Frog comes in the window.

Rachel: How many times did you read this book?

Athena: Four.

Diana: What is your favorite part?
Athena: This (snake during the adventure chapter).

Justin: Who is your favorite character?
Athena: Toad because he can’t see Frog.

James: Swimmy is the best book because Swimmy has all the friends. Another reason is the big black fish is hungry is trying to eat his friends.

Lawzia: When do you read this book?
James: Snack.

Joel: Who is your favorite character>
James: Swimmy.

Rawan: How many times did you read this book?
James: 33.

Joy: I think Silly Sally is the best book because it is so funny. For example, Neddy Buttercup tickle the pig. Another reason Neddy Buttercup tickle Sally and Sally tickle Neddy.

Diana: When do you read this book?
Joy: After snack.

Gavin: Who is your favorite character?
Joy: Sally.

Jacob: How much do you love that book?
Joy: I don’t know.


Diana: I think The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes is the best book because it is funny. For example, this page when she slips.

Sunny: How much do you like this book?
Diana: 16 stars.

Rawan: When do you read this book?
Diana: After snack.

Gabo: How do you feel when you read this book?
Diana: Happy

Donovan: I think Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is the best book because when the A sneaks up and goes up the coconut tree. I love when all them fall off the coconut tree.

Rachel: What time do you read this book?
Donovan: Quiet time yesterday.

Waseem: How do you feel when you read this book?
Donovan: Excited.

Lawzia: How much do you read this book?
Donovan: Two times.
